Why People Around the World are Gambling Online

December 1st, 2008 by admin

People all over the world have begun gambling online.  It’s one of the biggest forms of entertainment on the internet and for good reason.  While many people have begun gambling online because of the proliferation of the internet to new communities, many more have joined through after hearing about the life like casino experience you can get from home.

As the internet spreads and more people join, online casinos have invested heavily in the latest technologies in order to give the best experience gambling online.  Online casinos have made huge strides, even in the past several years.  Gone are the days when a green square and four straight lines represented a table.  Today’s internet gambling graphics are so amazing, it’s like someone put a real casino table in your monitor!  It happens to me all the time that I’m gambling online and forget I’m sitting at home and not a real casino.

Not only that, but with all the casino games offered you would find at a regular casino and great special features, there’s lot to keep you busy.  One of the best special features is even too good to imagine, free money casino bonuses.  Online casinos give these to you just for gambling online.  It’s amazing.

With all that internet gambling has to offer, it’s no surprise how quickly it’s spread around the world.  And as the internet continues to expand its reaches to people who haven’t had access to it, gambling online will only grow, along with the technologies and investment that have made it so incredible.

Enhance Your Game By Playing Backgammon For Money

November 11th, 2008 by admin

I started playing backgammon when I was just a kid, so over the years I’ve become a pretty good player.   It’s hard to believe that I’ve continued to have fun with it all this time, but backgammon is one of those great games that is never the same and always exciting.  But, when I heard you could play backgammon for money that really got me excited.

I didn’t even realize casinos had been offering it; I’ve just never really made it out to the casinos I guess.  Then one day I was flipping through television stations and I saw a world pro tournament where they were playing backgammon for money; I couldn’t believe it!

So then I got online and found out that there was internet backgammon.  So, all just by flipping through the channels, I’d come to find I could be playing backgammon for money from my own home.  I got started right away.

Internet backgammon is great.  The casinos really make it a fun experience and I meet all sorts of other online players who are really nice and a lot of fun to share strategy tips with.  But the best part is obviously playing backgammon for money.  It’s great because when you’ve spent a lot of time with a game and have become really good at it, it’s nice to get a reward.  Not only that though, playing for money just really adds to the excitement.  Since you’re playing for something and have something to win or lose, backgammon becomes more of a goal and a mission than a simple game; and that’s a lot of fun!

Online casino bonus – why?

September 20th, 2008 by admin

You might be new to this lark we call online casino, but I feel certain that most of you will have heard of an online casino bonus.  I’m also sure that you will be familiar with the types of casino bonus that you can receive: matched deposits, i.e. open your account with $100 and receive an additional $100 free, 150% deposits or simply a cash deposit for signing up with a particular internet casino.  So that’s the “what” taken care of, but why?

I suppose that it is fairly straightforward when you think about it.  The online casino industry is a multi-billion dollar concern and is intensely competitive.  Success is marked by profits earned and number of members on the register.  That is essentially where the online casino bonus comes into its own.  Perhaps it was misleading to suggest that the only time that a player will receive an online casino bonus is when they first sign-up to an internet casino site.  That is not strictly true, because in order to keep membership numbers up, casinos will frequently have other promotions and casino bonuses.  It would make no commercial sense to entice people to join a particular online casino just with an initial online casino bonus and offer them nothing from then on.  People would feel that they were being taken for granted and move to another site that would cater better to their needs.

Whatever the ‘whys’ and ‘wherefores’ the online casino bonus is an integral feature of our internet gambling experience and it doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere anytime soon.

Keep Yourself Safe While Internet Gambling

September 6th, 2008 by admin

Internet gambling has become a very popular pastime for many people around the world and, if you’re involved or considering joining an online casino there is one thing you should definitely consider.  Safety.  As with anything that becomes popular, there are people out there trying to take advantage of it.  And I’m not talking about winning big money at a blackjack table.  I’m talking about criminals stealing information.

For this reason online casinos have incorporated some of the most trusted and popular safety software to protect their users.  But it’s good to take extra steps to protect yourself.  One important step is not using your credit card.  There are plenty of online vendors that you can transfer your money through that give you more safety; vendors such as Neteller or PayPal.  Many online casinos even offer casino bonuses for using these services.

You should also research the security software of any online casino you think about joining.  This is a very simple task that requires a quick internet search.  You can also call the casinos customer service and they should be helpful in explaining their security measures.

As users of internet gambling sites, we’re there to have fun and, most importantly, make money.  So while it’s a bit of a hassle to many gamblers to research the safety aspects of different internet gambling sites, in the end it’s a very simple and quick process that will give you the security and peace of mind to have fun and make money through internet gambling.

How to Play the Opening Rolls in Backgammon

August 6th, 2008 by admin

The first moves of a backgammon game are known as the opening rolls. The game starts by both players rolling a single dice. This play decides which backgammon player will have the advantage of beginning the game. The player who rolls the higher number goes first, by playing the sum of the two numbers just rolled. In the case of a tie, both dice are rethrown in the case of a tie, meaning that the first roll of in backgammon cannot be a double.

The opening roll in backgammon is significant. The roll of the dice indicates how many points, or pips, the player is to move his checkers. The checkers are always moved forward, to a lower-numbered point, which is unoccupied. The backgammon player who makes the opening roll has the entire field at his disposal, and therefore can control the tactics for the entire game.

Of the various permutations of numbers available in the opening roll, it is not necessarily true that the highest number permutation is the best. Many backgammon experts state that the lowest permutation possible in backgammon 2+1 (“2-1 “) offers the best tactical advantage. 3+1 (“3-1”) is another favorite for the experienced backgammon player.

For the opening rolls, In any case, the backgammon player must move checkers according to the number of pips showing on each dice. If  the player rolls a 6 and a 3 (”6-3″) he should move one checker six points forward, and  the other checker three points forward. In most cases, the results of the opening roll in backgammon will allow the player to decide the strategy of the entire game; if he will adopt a defensive, attacking or holding role. After the opening roll, the players in backgammon throw two dice and take alternate turns.
